Dear Alumni Members,
It has been more than 2 months since the Circuit Breaker was implemented as a mean to reign in the spread of COVID-19. We have suspended our weekly activities like calligraphy class, Tai-chi class, Charaoke session and the Morning @ CH session.
With the consent of our members, we have deferred our AGM from March to June. Looking at the current situation, even if the Circuit Breaker moves on to Phase 2 of opening up, we may still not be able to hold our physical AGM due to crowd restriction.
We have considered doing a virtual AGM but there are concerns regarding the stability of the software, security issue and the tracking of the attendees, etc. It will also be difficult to have the election of the President and the Exco members through a virtual AGM.
As such, we would like to inform all our members that:
a) our AGM will be deferred to the end of the year or any time earlier when we are allowed to conduct a physical AGM. Details of the AGM will be announced later once it is confirmed.
b) The terms of office of the 50th Exco will continue until the Alumni is able to hold an AGM and election of the 51st Exco.
In the meantime, please stay safe and healthy and I look forward to seeing you at the coming AGM soon.
